Each day we will take a group transport and travel a quick six miles to the J and A Roping Arena. This hidden gem of a facility hosts a variety of equine facilitated retreats. Bosting view
As a group we will be observing eight different horses ranging from the alpha, to the confident, to the insecure, the aloof, a mini, a mustang, and a rescue horse. This lovely variety will allow an Opportunity as Samantha Harvey leads the group discussion in learning how to raise one's awareness to recognize and listen to the equine's communication.
All too often the human agenda limits their ability to stay mental present to hear what the horse is offering. This creates scenarios where the horse "surprises" them with seemingly unexpected, and usually unwanted, behaviors.
Without the history or association of familiarity with the demo horses, it will allow participants to experience learning without anticipations or expectations. This allows for a clarity in being able to truly see and listen to the horse for what he is experiencing in that moment.
